Terms of use

Agreement

These terms apply to the apps published by Pixel and Patchwork Studios LLC, including PathScribe and ArrowRhythmBlast, and to this website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Your licence to use our apps

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use our apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with the rules of the app store you obtained them from. Purchases and subscriptions are also subject to that store's terms.

What you may not do

• Copy, redistribute, resell, or sublicense our apps.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble them, except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
• Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice.
• Use them to break the law, or to interfere with their normal operation or with other people's use of them.
• Submit falsified scores, or otherwise interfere with the integrity of the leaderboards.

Your content and your files

Anything you write or create in our apps stays yours. We claim no ownership of it. As set out in the privacy policy, content stays on your device unless you choose an online feature that submits or syncs it. If cloud sync is offered and enabled, you give us permission to host and process the selected content only as needed to provide that service. Keeping a separate backup remains your responsibility — PathScribe provides a ZIP export for that purpose.

PathScribe works with PDF and EPUB files that you supply. You are responsible for having the right to use those files. No book content ships inside the app, and any oracle table or entry index the app builds is generated from your own copy, on your own device.

Our content

The apps themselves, including their code, artwork, audio, level content, and the Pixel and Patchwork Studios name and logo, are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. These terms do not give you any right to use our branding. Game systems and other content that ship under an open licence remain subject to their own licences.

Availability and changes

We may update our apps, change or remove features, or stop distributing an app entirely. We will try to give reasonable notice of a significant change through release notes or this website, but we cannot guarantee any app will remain available indefinitely or be compatible with every future device or OS version.

Disclaimer of warranties

Our apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the apps will be uninterrupted, error free, or free from loss of data. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pixel and Patchwork Studios LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of our apps. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in question. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

Apps obtained from the App Store

Where you obtained an app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and us and not with Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; and that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Termination

You may stop using our apps at any time by deleting them. We may terminate this licence if you materially breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Pixel and Patchwork Studios LLC is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, and without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms; if we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the apps after a change means you accept the revised terms.
